We have an outstanding collection of ‘Futurist’ British linocuts from the 1930s by the artists who attended the Grosvenor School,
including works by Sybil Andrews, Claude Flight, Cyril Power and Lill Tschudi. Many of these Grosvenor School Linocuts are also
currently on display in the United States as part of a touring exhibition The Rhythms of Modern Life: British Prints 1914 – 1939
which is now at the Museum of Fine Art Boston until 1st June, continues from September 23rd at the Metropolitan Museum of
Art in New York before finishing at the Wolfsonian in Miami in autumn 2009.
Amongst the many highlights of our collection at the print fair this year are three exceptionally rare and early works by Henry
Moore, new prints by Antony Gormley, his first for sixteen years, a group of lithographs by Elizabeth Magill, ‘pigmented’
prints by Marc Quinn from his 2000 Garden series and William Kentridge’s monumental Sleeper – Red, 1997. |
